NOTE: We are a farmers market, and vendors must abide by Iowa Farmers Market regulations. Find those here. BAKERS: note the FOOD LABELLING REQUIREMENTS for ingredients and allergens. State inspectors do show up for spot inspections, so following the rules protects you and helps us maintain our farmers market status for future Maqtoberfest markets.

Most of you will not need a license ... your edible food (baked goods, fruit pies, eggs, honey) are considered "cottage foods": "foods that are prepared in a private residence and do not need to be kept hot or cold for safe consumption". Home-processed and home-canned food (e.g., jams and jellies) do not need a license IF they comply with all of the regulations for those foods.

A City of Maquoketa peddlers license is not required for this event.

This category does not include Food Trucks. Contact us if you want to be a Food Truck operator at Maqtoberfest.

• For nonprofit and other community and service organizations -- be seen!

• Provide flyers, handouts, and/or information and/or host an activity for kids (or kids of all ages). This is not a selling opportunity, but your tip jar or fundraiser is welcome.

• Activities will mostly be in Main Street this year.

• Calling all:  Singers, dancers, instrumentalists, bands, soloists, groups, poets, actors, improv performers, rappers, spoken word artists, and performers in other styles and mediums. We'll be featuring local performers on our stage. Short sets welcome! Performance times from 11 am to 2 pm. Note that this is not a paid gig.
